مقام‌های ولایت پکتیکا، در جنوب شرق افغانستان گفته‌اند که چهار مهاجم مسلح در پی درگیری با نیروهای امنیتی در یک مرکز تجارتی از پا درآمده‌اند.

مخلص افغان، سخنگوی والی پکتیکا، روز دوشنبه، ۱۸ ثور/اردیبهشت، به بی‌بی‌سی گفت که احتمالا مهاجمان از این ساختمان چندطبقه قصد حمله به مراکز دولتی در شهر شرن، مرکز این ولایت، را داشتند.

وزارت داخله/کشور در اعلامیه‌ای گفته است که "مهاجمان انتحاری" از این ساختمان "محلات مسکونی" را هدف تیراندازی قرار دادند.

به گزارش دفتر مطبوعاتی این وزارت، مهاجمان در پی درگیری شدید با نیروهای امنیتی از پا درآمده‌اند.

در این اعلامیه آمده است که مهاجمان واسکت‌های (جلیقه‌های) مملو از مواد منفجره، آرپی‌جی و سلاح‌های سبک با خود داشتند.

وزارت داخله گفته است که در جریان این درگیری سه غیرنظامی زخمی شدند.

اما نیروهای بین‌المللی تحت فرمان ناتو در افغانستان گفته‌اند که در این درگیری یک غیرنظامی کشته و دو تن دیگر زخمی شده‌اند.

این نیروها در اعلامیه‌ای گفته‌اند که مهاجمان قصد حمله به نیروهای بین‌المللی و داخلی را داشتند.

این خیر در حالی منتشر می‌شود که اداره امنیت ملی افغانستان به تازگی از "تغییر تاکتیک" حملات گروه‌های شورشی در افغانستان خبر داده است.

روز یکشنبه، ۱۷ ثور/اردیبهشت، شفیق‌الله طاهری، از سخنگویان اداره امنیت ملی افغانستان، گفت که آنها با تغییر تاکتیک خود "می‌خواهند مراکز و شخصیت‌های ملی و دولتی را که از دیدگاه رسانه‌ها خبرساز باشند، هدف قرار بدهند."
